“Originally from Minnesota, Andy traded cold and snowy winters for Winchester’s sunny climes in 2014 and has called the area home ever since.  In his spare time, Andy enjoys hiking the area’s excellent hiking trails, visiting historical sites and museums, reading historical non-fiction, eating at Winchester’s many great restaurants and when he’s not dining out, cooking.  Andy is an aspiring “foodie” and considers himself an accomplished home cook, although he’ll allow that some might quibble with just how “accomplished” he really is!  He says it’s been “probably years, but at least months” since his cooking has sent someone running from the table.   Andy particularly enjoys exploring new cuisines and is always on the lookout for new recipes to try.  Andy is also a history buff and has visited almost every major (and minor) historical site in Northern Virginia.  He considers himself fortunate to live in a town where so much history has occurred.”
